The coral reefs surrounding the islands are a natural wonder and a must-watch. Known for its white-sand beaches, North Bay Island is the ultimate destination for scuba diving and snorkeling.

It is just 8 kilometers from Port Blair by boat/ferry. So, if you want to visit this place, make sure it has already been added to your Andaman Nicobar tour package.

Baratang Island

Another unique thing to do for tourists in the Andaman Islands is to visit the mud volcanoes at Baratang island. This is a natural phenomenon where mud bursts out due to the formation of gases and liquids in the earth’s interior.

Also worth watching are the limestone caves with their incredible shapes of stalagmites and stalactites. Parrot Island, which is part of Baratang Island, is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Tourists can also go on a canoe ride through the mangrove forest on the island.

Neil Island

Also known as Shaheed Dweep, Neil Island is one of the most deserted islands in the Andamans. It is famed for its tranquil white-sand beaches, named after various characters from the epic Ramayana, such as Laxmanpur, Ramnagar, Sitapur, and Bharatpur beach. Their fruit and vegetable cultivation is also famous. The island is a great scuba diving and snorkeling destination due to its renowned coral reefs. Along with Havelock Island, Neil Island is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Andaman tour packages.

Ross Island

Ross Island is the third leg of the golden triangle of tourist attractions in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, alongside Neil Island and Havelock Islands. Though small in size, the island is famed for its beaches and rich history.

Tourists visiting Ross Island can see the remains of a penal colony developed during British colonial rule. Most buildings, including a church and offices, are still standing but are now covered with local flora. These were built by prisoners who were mostly freedom fighters against the British colonists. Tourists can also attend a light and sound show on the island held in the evening, especially if it is included in the Andaman tourist packages.

The island is located just 3 kilometers south of Port Blair and can be reached by boat/ferry.

Andaman tours are incomplete without touring Port Blair. Among the many things to do in Andaman, tourists can visit various other historic landmarks and important buildings in the city such as Gurudwara Dr. Diwan Singh (named after a well-known freedom fighter), Murugan Temple, Marina Park Aquarium, Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Chatham Saw Mill, Andaman Zoo, Aberdeen Bazaar, Sagorika Government Market, Anthropological Museum, Science Centre, Fisheries Museum, Forest Museum, and Naval Museum.
